I had never run more than a mile or two before I signed up to run the 2005 LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon. Today, I am an 8x Marathon Finisher. In 2011, I ran 1,000 miles from St. Louis to New York City. I ran approximately 15.5 miles for 65 consecutive days. My running journey has taught me that our bodies are capable of the most amazing feats. Plus, the endorphins are life-changing!
The most thrilling moment in my running journey was when Katie asked me to coach and run alongside her in the 2013 Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Louis Marathon. Crossing that finish line hand in hand with my little sister still brings tears to my eyes.
Anyone can be a runner. Sometimes just taking that first step is what deters one from pursuing a dream of completing a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon or Marathon. You don’t have to do it alone! I would be honored and grateful to help you begin your journey by running or walking alongside you, motivating you to keep putting one foot in front of the other, and keeping you on track to make that dream a reality. My passion for running & walking, along with the accountability of scheduling sessions with me, will get you moving and allow you to finally chase down that dream of crossing the finish line!

"I met Colleen Caul in 2015 through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Gateway Chapter and was inspired by her joy and athletic adventures. You can’t help but smile 😊 when you’re talking to or in her presence.
I always said I could never run 🏃♀️ a marathon; when I decided to give up the negative self-talk to run the 2019 Chicago Marathon, I knew I wanted my trusted friend to help me conquer the impossible.
Colleen created a plan for me and I looked forward to our chats every Friday. We caught up on the week, talked about how the runs were going, and she gave me tips 📌 that I don’t know to ask for as an unseasoned marathoner. I had some non-negotiables and she made a plan that worked for me, vs a cookie cutter template. I knew I could be honest with her and she would help me make adjustments when needed, judgement free.
I could have never prepared for the joy 🎉 that running a marathon would bring to my life, and, I was able to run the first 20 miles and walk/run the last 6 thanks to the many hours Colleen dedicated to me and completed my first marathon in 5:25. Thank you 🙏 ❤️for making my dreams come true dear friend!
